2-1-1 is the information and referral service that can provide
the vital link between people with questions or problems and the
social services in the community available to meet their needs.
Montana 2-1-1 has the most current and comprehensive listing
of community resources available locally. For cell phone access,

When
you call 2-1-1, you will talk to an information and referral
specialist. This person is trained to analyze your problem or
question - however complicated - and refer you to the proper
agencies and organizations that can help. ALL CALLS ARE CONFIDENTIAL.
All
resources listed are provided by non-profits or government.
HRC
has been providing referrals to callers since 1988. Currently
there are local weekday services from 10:00am to 5:00pm; 10 interactive
kiosks in the three county area which provide instant user access
to the community service database information.
We make our information on local resources in Mineral, Missoula and Ravalli Counties available at the Montana 2-1-1 website.

The three digit 2-1-1 was first launched
by United Way in 1997 and now reaches into 30 states and the
District of Columbia. HRC and its 2-1-1 call center is a member
of the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS), a
national organization and the industry standard. Our staff includes
a nationally certified AIRS Information and Referral Specialist.
HRC is currently participating in the National AIRS professional
accreditation process. |
